If you’re new to my work, start with the free videos on the Get Present page on this website. Those videos introduce simple ways to recognize thought loops and return your attention to what’s happening now. The Spirituality Explained page breaks down confusing spiritual concepts into clear, everyday language. When you’re ready to go deeper, you can explore my book, my online course The Peace Laboratory, or one-on-one coaching.
No. You don’t need a particular belief system or familiarity with spiritual terminology. My teaching focuses on practical ways to notice your thoughts, reconnect with the present, and respond to everyday challenges. You’re welcome to explore the practices and see what is useful to you.
No. The lessons guide you through simple practices for noticing your thoughts, connecting with your senses, and returning to the present moment. You don’t need to know how to quiet your mind before you begin. The course is a place to learn and practice those skills.
It’s both. How I Escaped the Prison of My Mind tells the story of my own experience with worry, self-doubt, and learning to live more fully in the present. Along the way, I share the practices that helped me move from understanding spiritual concepts to using them in everyday life.
It’s my way of describing the shift from understanding something intellectually to experiencing it for yourself. The “18 inches” represents the journey from the head to the heart. For me, that meant moving from knowing the words “be present” to actually experiencing presence and learning how to return to it in everyday life.
I used AI as a tool for self-reflection: putting thoughts into words, asking questions, and considering different perspectives. In The Peace Laboratory, I share how I use it to explore familiar thought patterns. AI can make mistakes, so I encourage thoughtful questioning and your own judgment. The focus remains on what you notice and practice in your everyday life.
No. The Peace Laboratory is an educational course focused on presence, self-awareness, and everyday practice. It does not provide mental health treatment, trauma therapy, or crisis support, and it is not a substitute for professional care. Yes. I offer one-on-one coaching for people who would like personal guidance applying these practices to their own lives. Together, we can explore where you feel stuck, recognize recurring thought patterns, and practice tools you can use beyond our conversation. To learn more, use the coaching inquiry button below.
You’re welcome to leave general questions in the comments on my YouTube or TikTok videos. I read those regularly, and your questions often inspire future videos or newsletter topics. I can’t respond to every comment or offer individual guidance there. For personal support with applying the practices, please explore one-on-one coaching.
Teaching has always been one of my favorite parts of my cake business. As I began experiencing the difference presence made in my own life, I wanted to help others understand the ideas I had once found confusing. This work grew from that experience and the same love of making something feel understandable and achievable.
Learn how to let go of the stories your mind keeps returning to and bring yourself back to the present. One-on-one coaching offers personal guidance, putting these tools into practice.
